Our Polygeia campaign has gone live with over 100 facebook likes in just 2 hours. Thankyou everyone who has helped in our attempt to increase funding for neglected tropical diseases.
Thankyou to the 536 people who signed our Amnesty International letter to improve women's rights in Afghanistan. The letter was sent to David Cameron, who has replied informing us of the ways he hopes to tackle the issue in the future!
After some late donations the final amount raised for Stand up 2 Cancer was £537.86 and we have also raised £24.95 for Children in Need.
St Johns ambulance are a tremendous charity who provided us with a lot of generous help in our Freshers' event. We are therefore very glad to announce that £150 of the profits raised from Freshers' will be donated to the charity to help their future work.
We are proud to announce that following on from the Autism Awareness day last April, the student council have made a donation of £100 to the National Autistic Society. This will aid them in their valuable work, reducing stigma and improving opportunities for those who have been diagnosed with Autism.
A big thank you to all those who came along and made the Autumn event a success! We managed to raise over £700 for the Papworth Trust, who do hugely valuable work supporting people with physical and mental disabilities.
